Petronas, Annexe & National art gallerry

Last 11th of October 2012, Mr Khairul had organized a field trip to the Petronas Art Gallery. It is a non profit visual art gallery located at the heart city of KLCC. There were 12 of us including Mr Khairul. It was such a wonderful experience for me since it was my first time to an art gallery. However, the art work had inspired and gave me such an impact because of it's hidden meaning. Actually it depends on how others portrait it. I guess it was true all along that a picture can describe a thousand words.

Last but not least our last trip was at the most famous Malaysian world hermitage, the Central market.

Unfortunately Central Market was our last trip.I preferred CM the most because the environment gave me unexpected vibe. However, I've learned a lot about street art because not only the art but also the people were so friendly and welcoming. It has the best art work since most of the painter are there to sketch live in front of us.

Here are some of the photos that i took.It can be either art work and buildings that caught my attention.

Portrait editing

Last Thursday, Mr Khairul had thought us how to edit using the adobe photoshop 6..Everyone in the class was super excited because it only involves a portrait of a lady. At first, it was a bit hassle since many of her features had to be improvise especially her moles and wrinkles. Not to say that shes not pretty but looks way better after the editing. In the end, we managed to put some make up on her such as lipstick and eye shadow. As a result, many of us thought to use these incredible skills that we learned especially to edit our own photo on facebook. Despite the advantage, i Could not imagine how photoshop can sometimes manipulate someone's appearance because there are some advert that Mr Khairul showed us that beauty is everything to perfect!

child labour

A child's cry

Papa ,papa I want to go to school,
Papa said Shut up your mouth you little fool,
Now go to work with your lunch and tool,
Before the sun melts the dawns cool.
So I start my lonely walk,
Keeping my thoughts private with no one to talk
My heart is broken, because my friend Ted is dead,
Some say it was because he inhaled poisonous lead
Whatever it is, his face was red,
And he fell sick and died in bed.

This job in mine is worst I hate,
My mother says Dear Tom, this is our fate
My Father says go to work, if you want a full plate.
I'm sure Ill fall sick and die, if I work at this rate.

My greatest dream is to learn,
And to get a job by it and earn,
When I see other school going boys,My heart burns,
With desire to study, alas my heart can only yearn.

Child labor is work that harms children or keeps them from attending school. Around the world , growing gaps between rich and poor in recent decades have forced millions of young children out of school and into work. The International Labor Organization estimates that 215 million children between the ages of 5 and 17 currently work under conditions that are considered illegal, hazardous, or extremely exploitative. Underage children work at all sorts of jobs around the world, usually because they and their families are extremely poor. Large numbers of children work in commercial agriculture, fishing, manufacturing, mining, and domestic service. Some children work in illicit activities like the drug trade and prostitution or other traumatic activities such as serving as soldiers. It can happen anytime and anywhere.Of an estimated 215 child laborers around the globe: approximately 114 million (53%) are in Asia and the Pacific; 14 million (7%) live in Latin America; and 65 million (30%) live in sub-Saharan Africa.

HOW?
The agriculture sector comprises activities in agriculture, hunting forestry, and fishing. The industry sector includes mining and quarrying, manufacturing, construction, and public utilities. The services sector consists of wholesale and retail trade; restaurants and hotels; transport, storage, and communications; finance, insurance, real-estate, and business services; and community as well as social personal services.

First time

MY VERY OWN FIRST TIME

Today is the first day for me to design a blog because usually i would only read people's blog.Unfortunately it was back in three weeks ago..Whoopss!!my bad.In the beginning it was a bit hard for me since i don't have the knowledge to blog and the function of certain icon using the blogger website.

Well its not like facebook where we can easily update status and it's slightly like twitter but different. It's ok because i do believe that to become successful,  we should learn and start from scratch because sometimes, we could possibly transform anything from nothing to something.

Even though I begin a bit late, I will try to pick up the pace since it involves a lot of creative idea in writing and designing.

As for my first task, Mr Khairul, my introduction to design lecturer asked the class to design a journal.

I hope I could create and entertain an interesting blog with my wonderful story during this wonderful journey.Enjoy!
